Experiences

"Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get".

In the small span of my professional career so far, I have had the opportunity to put different hats. From Marketing to Sales to Content Writer to Call Center Representative to Food Service Worker to Office Assistant to Project Coordinator; I have enjoyed working in different roles across different industries. Some were short term - a project or something that overlapped with the existing job, and some were a bit more stable. It might look like I tend to jump from one profession to another, however, I have mostly worked as an intern or as a student worker. My professional full time job was as a Marketing and Sales Manager, which I had to give up to pursue my Masters Degree. So though it might look different in paper, I do love stability.

At this point in my career, I am looking for a full time opportunity where I can grow with the company. I prefer to be at a place which best suits me and my values, because at the end of the day you need to be satisfied with What you do and Where you do it. I am a grinder. I love putting in the time to get the job done. I might not be the smartest person around but I ask lots of questions and get the job done.I am someone who you can easily train and be certain that I will get the job done. I am matured in my approach and take full ownership of what i do.Moreover, I am open to learning and do not like sitting idle at work. Hence the certifications. Rather than sitting down waiting for something to land in my lap, I am a go-getter. I am constantly in my supervisor's office asking for something to do, and if not, I browse through the internet and try to learn something. It might not be something directly related to what i do, but i constantly love to learn different things.

I have recently started working with the BI team from November and it has been a great learning process for me. I love working on different projects and using data to make sense of operations; and with this, i get to do both. This is basically a technical Project Management role for me where I get to sit down with my supervisor and the executive team and discuss about our Sales and Performance data, the hike and dips - and how to make sense of it all. The projects are reviewed on a weekly basis to see the hurdles and findings of the project. I just love being able to participate on the discussion and brainstorm for new ideas on creating different reports, which data points to use and so on. Despite being an IT related position, this position is never monotonous as there is basically multiple projects running parallel that i am involved in. We do cross-functional department projects on Agile Methodology as well, therefore the last minute adjustment are challenging and exciting both.
